This Fiesta will benefit Finca Guanacaste to support our 1,000 Trees Campaign. By the end of the day on May 5th, we hope to have raised $1,000. For each $1 we raise, one tree will be planted (avacado, mango, jackfruit, ojoche, and other high-yield trees) with families in the local community in Nicaragua to promote food security and reforestation of wildlife habitats.
You are welcomed to bring:
- A suggested donation of $10 or whatever you’d like to offer to benefit Finca Guanacaste. Donations can be made online here too, and are greatly appreciated!
- A poem, song, or musical instrument to share
- Seedlings, plant cuttings, and/or seeds to swap and share
- Yourself! We are happy to see all your smiling faces and to celebrate together!
May 5th is 350.org’s Climate Impacts Day. We’ll be a “dot” connecting environmental actions in Cambridge, with the farm in Nicaragua, and thousands of others gathered around the world!
We’ll have festivities all day, so we hope you’ll stop by to celebrate with us! Bring your friends, loved ones, and neighbors!
The 350.org New England Convergence is THIS weekend. For anyone interested, there’s more information here and a link to register.

It is on a pay-what-you-can basis and runs all day Saturday and into Sunday at the Union United Methodist Church at 485 Columbus Ave., Boston. There’s very little publicity about the event, unfortunately and it wasn’t something that readily came up in bing searches so spread the word if it interests you!
